Oje Belo

Born in Nigeria, raised in England and the United States, Oje Belo is a citizen of the world, full of ambition and drive, desiring to tell a wide variety of stories, specifically ones that speak to the African diaspora in all its depth and dimension. Thanks to his training at New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts, he has been able to translate these stories onto both the stage and screen. Recently, Belo showed off his skill as a character actor side when he appeared as the mean-blooded Chaz in the NYU Thesis Film Fortune. With foundational training and skill in both drama and comedy, he had audiences in stitches when he played OJ Jackson in The Audition as OJ Jackson. His work on the short film aided in its success in garnering awards at the New York Movie Awards and Los Angeles International Film Festival. It was also an official selection for the Portland Comedy Film Festival, Sydney Women’s International Film Festival, Venice Shorts, and the Phoenix International Monthly Short Film Festival.  Subsequently, he played the leading role of Izzy in An African Love Story.  On stage, Oje demonstrated his versatility in his recent Off-Broadway debut as Jeremy in Horribly Humorous at The Triad.
