Corey Caldwell is a New York City based actor, writer, and comedian originally from Chicago. Corey collaborated with The Second City where he’s written and performed Lets Make It Perfectly Queer directed by Mick Napier and Conservatory Revue directed by Ryan Bernier.

As a writer and performer Corey also worked with director Mick Napier in Come Together at Annoyance Theater, director Andel Sudlik in Catchy: A One Man Show in iO Chicago, director Geoff Dow in Four Man Show: A Two Man Show in iO Chicago, director Molly Todd Madison in Wet Hot American Psycho at Blackout Cabaret, and director Jeff Bouthiette for Music Conservatory Revue at Skybox Theater.

Corey is also interested in the film and television realm where he was recently cast in Netflix’s Soundtrack. Corey’s comedic talent has led him to perform in multiple online comedy sketches and performances. Amongst those are 2hrs Outside and American Beer with iO Comedy Network. His online presence has given Corey opportunities to work with Buzzfeed, The Onion, Todd’s Friend Todd, OTV, and Second City Network.

As a trained improviser, he’s used his comedic ability to secure a number of national commercials including Macys, Yellowtail Wine, and WeatherTech. Corey has trained with Second City Training in Chicago following a versatile array of classes ranging from writing to musical theatre. Corey has also followed classes at iO Chicago and Northern Illinois University where he studied improvisation and creative writing respectively.

Corey’s strong writing and dedication to his art has led him to win 2nd Place at the Northern Illinois University Contemporary Voice Writing Award.
