Notably, she made her National Tour debut as Rita in the poignant Freedom Train. Tamara made her off-Broadway debut as the ever-reliable Swing in Sistas: the Musical, and recently showed off her comedic skills as Deb in Argyle Theatre’s production of Elf. Upcoming, she’ll be making audiences laugh across the nation in the National Tour of The Book of Mormon.

Other recent credits have included belting the house down as Wanda in Beehive the 60s Musical, the confident Motormouth Maybelle in Hairspray, and Ensemble in Thoroughly Modern Millie. Although she’s known for her pop and jazz vocals, she’s no stranger to legit musicals, appearing in both The Secret Garden as the patient Mrs. Winthrop and Ragtime as Sarah’s Friend.
Tamara studied at AMDA LA where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Musical Theatre. Studying in Hollywood bit Tamara with a love for the big screen, and she has starred in short films such as the committed college student Naomi in Stay Positive. Her time in Los Angeles also made her realize that not only did she love performing, but she also excelled as a make-up artist. Tammie set out and created her own small business, Tammie Allure Cosmetics.
