Martin’s high-level of musicianship makes him a first-choice for composers of new works. He originated roles in a variety of premieres including: Muse in When Adonis Calls with Asheville Lyric Opera and Mark Twain in TESLA with SoBe Arts. With Fort Worth Opera, Martin covered the title role in JFK and Victor in Buried Alive, and he created the Baritone roles in Voir Dire. The original cast recording of Voir Dire was released in August of 2020, on RedHouse records. Martin has also participated in workshops and readings of new works, both in opera and musical theater. Namely creating the role of John in a new opera entitled House of Legendary, which has been workshopped with the American Opera Project, with an intended premiere in 2021. Other notable workshops include: the role of Frederick/Hans Kattle in The Sorrows of Frederick, Python Hunter/Male Ensemble in The Night Falls, Enkidu in Gilgamesh, and Earl in Pure Country.

Trevor’s work as a concert and cabaret soloist earns him critical acclaim with ensembles throughout the U.S. such as: Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, Ensemble Échappé, Norwalk Symphony Orchestra, Barry University Chorale, Southern Crescent Chorale, and Opera North.

An accomplished and versatile actor, singer, and musician, Trevor was a winner in the prestigious Lotte Lenya Competition sponsored by the Kurt Weill Foundation in 2019 and has been selected as a quarterfinalist for the American Traditions Competition, which will be held in the Winter of 2021.

Trevor is proud to support many social justice reform organizations, currently serving on the board of multiple Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committees for different theaters, and is committed to these ideals in all aspects of the theater and academic worlds. Trevor earned a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Georgia Southern University before graduating with a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the esteemed Moores School of Music at the University of Houston.
