
Tori Ashley Matos
Tori Ashley Matos is a trans non-binary and Indigenous Afro-Latinx actor and writer based in New York City. An artist whose work isn’t defined by just one medium, they’ve appeared in countless different productions and roles, both on the big and small screen, and in live performance.
Recently, Tori starred in a series of short films in the New Visions, New Voices anthology. They appeared in Of Mothers and Men, an inventive take on the American classic Of Mice and Men. Tori starred as the independent and cynical Talia in the poignant Flying Lessons. Tori is also no stranger to classical theatre, performing in iconic roles such as Blanche DuBois in A Streetcar Named Desire. They are also a champion of new works, performing in works such as the Lead in Leaf on Water and Alisha in Trenzas. Ever the multi-talented artist, Tori also has a standout voice, performing as the Turn Back O Man soloist in Godspell, and as Conseula in West Side Story. They performed in the Candlelight Processional at Walt Disney World.

They graduated from NYU with a BFA in Theatre and they’re currently working on their MFA in poetry. They have trained at Stella Adler, The Groundlings, and Terry Knickerbocker Studio. Most recently they’ve been featured in New Visions, New Voices (2021), Flying Lessons (2021), and Walt Disney World’s Candelight Processional (2021).
