Praised for his “ringing tenor that climbs to the rafters”, “brooding heartthrob” Indalecio De Jesus Valentin is a versatile artist who values collaboration and honest story telling.  Currently, you can see him across the nation performing the role of Old Deuteronomy in the North American 40th Anniversary Tour of Cats and is the first Latino to do so in the US.

Artist Bio

Praised for his “ringing tenor that climbs to the rafters”, “brooding heartthrob” Indalecio De Jesus Valentin is a versatile artist who values collaboration and honest story telling.  Currently, you can see him across the nation performing the role of Old Deuteronomy in the North American 40th Anniversary Tour of Cats and is the first Latino to do so in the US.

 

Indalecio found his innate ability to perform while pursuing a music education degree in Milwaukee, WI.  Trained as a classical pianist from a young age, he has always had a natural affinity in being able to express his musicianship and artistry. Notable roles include Topher/Prince Cahrming in Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella, Man 1 in Jason Robert Brown’s Songs for a New World, and Aeneas in Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas. Other credits include Piraguero/Graffiti Pete U/S in In the Heights , Eddie Birdlace U/S in Dogfight, Buddy the Elf U/S in Elf the Musical , Smokey in Damn Yankees, and Ensemble in Rent.
