BIOGRAPHY
Lauren Steinert, is a dynamic and classically trained soprano based out of New York City and the Tri-State Area. She is a recent graduate of Moravian University where she majored in Classical Vocal Performance. This season, Lauren will put her classical training to use, as she makes her National Tour debut in Fiddler on the Roof, where she’ll be performing as Rivka, and understudying the roles of Tzeitel, Hodel, and Fruma-Sarah.
Lauren’s is quite an ingenue, showing off her never-ending upper register as Ariel in Disney’s The Little Mermaid. She has also shown off her mix/belt as the intellectual Belle in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. Lauren is also quite a dancer, and has the ability to play complex characters, as evidenced in her portrayal of Catherine in Pippin. Her exciting young career is not just limited to musical theatre. Lauren is also no stranger to the concert stage, recently performing at the famed Carnegie Hall in concerts such as Magnificat, Requiem for the Living, and Te Deum. Lauren has also performed in the concert version of Carousel as Julie Jordan, where people said they’re in love with Lauren’s crystalline voice. Her lyric coloratura voice was a perfect fit for Christine in The Phantom of the Opera Concert. Similar to Christine, Lauren’s star is on the rise, and she is ever learning on how to become the star she is one day destined to be.
Outside of music, Lauren is a USPTA Tennis Professional, and loves to learn, train, and teach tennis in her time away from her musical endeavors.
