BIOGRAPHY

Carlos Luckie Jr. is a promising stage and screen actor best known for his role as William Bell on the Apple TV+ series Manhunt. He honed his craft in the theatre, most notably taking on the gargantuan role of Martin Luther King Jr. in an inspiring performance of The Mountaintop. Carlos has performed in a variety of theatre roles that showcase his range, using his powerful baritone as Balaga in Natasha, Perre & The Great Comet of 1812 and demonstrating his cutting satirical skills as Man in The Colored Museum. He is also well-versed in Shakespeare and classical theatre, playing Pompey in Antony and Cleopatra, Dogberry in Much Ado About Nothing, and Big Stone in Eurydice. Carlos has built on his theatre experience with film projects that similarly illustrate his talents, from his performance as Ron in The Players, directed by Scott Alan Smith, to his roles as Oungan in Tides End and Henry in Lost. He is also skilled in commercial and voiceover work, performing as Man in Tostitos Commercial and lending his voice to SCAD-Shine Here(15)(30), and the audiobook Scion: Dawn of Midnight.


Carlos trained at Savannah College of Art and Design, where he received an M.F.A. in Performing Arts and was selected to be a part of SCAD’s 2023 Acting Showcase. He also has a Bachelor of Science in Theatre from Troy University.
