
BIOGRAPHY
Miranda Powers was born and raised in the small midwestern town of Lebanon, Missouri. A small-town girl with big dreams, she’s been featured in numerous films, TV shows, and plays since arriving in New York City. Miranda’s ability to play quirky comedic characters will be shown off in the indie sitcom Utilities Not Includes, which she recently filmed.
Other recent credits include being featured on the acclaimed Impractical Jokers on Tru TV. She made her short film debut as Sue in Plum Logic, a comedy about an ex-Olympian who is turned into a plum. Miranda enjoyed working on it so much, she decided to produce, direct, and write her own short film, Sparkle Cry Repeat, which she also performed in. Although Miranda is one funny woman, she also has a knack for dramatic roles. She can play a wide range of roles, whether it be a helpless victim or the prickly best friend, which she recently showed off in Discovery’s Evil Leaves Here and On the Case with Paula Zahn. Miranda’s work is not just limited to the screen, as she has enthralled audiences both in classical and contemporary plays in person. She has performed in roles such as the whimsical Ariel in The Tempest, Silvia/ Lucetta in Two Gentleman of Verona, Young Woman in Blood Wedding, and Desdemona/ Spirit/ Burbage in I Hate Shakespeare.
Miranda holds her Masters of Fine Arts in Acting from The New School. After school, Miranda continued to act professionally as well as personal train at a private boutique facility in Park Slope. Her current endeavors include combining her love for acting and her skills of physical fitness in pursuit of sword fighting (she is on an Armored Combat team) and stunt work.
