BIOGRAPHY

Miranda Powers was born and raised in the small midwestern town of Lebanon, Missouri. A small-town girl with big dreams, she’s been featured in numerous films, TV shows, and plays since arriving in New York City. Miranda’s ability to play quirky comedic characters will be on full display in the indie sitcom Utilities Not Included, which she recently filmed.

Other recent credits include being featured on the long-running Impractical Jokers on TruTV and her short film debut as Sue in Plum Logic, a comedy about an ex-Olympian who is turned into a plum. Miranda enjoyed working on it so much, she decided to write, produce, direct, and star in her own short film, Sparkle Cry Repeat. Although Miranda is one funny woman, she also has a knack for dramatic roles. She can play a wide range, whether it be a helpless victim or the prickly best friend, which she recently showed off on Discovery’s Evil Lives Here and On the Case with Paula Zahn. Miranda’s work is not limited to the screen, as she has enthralled audiences in both classic and contemporary plays. She has performed the whimsical Ariel in The Tempest, Silvia/Lucetta in The Two Gentleman of Verona, Young Woman in Blood Wedding, and Desdemona/Spirit/Burbage in I Hate Shakespeare.

Miranda holds her Master of Fine Arts in Acting from The New School. Since graduating, Miranda has maintained her passion for acting while also striving to reach her training and fitness goals, including work with the armored combat team at a private boutique facility in Park Slope, all in pursuit of sword fighting and stunt work.
