BIOGRAPHY

Lily Gilan James is an Iranian-American actor, singer, and creative based in New York City. Originally from the DC area, Lily received their BFA in Musical Theatre with an emphasis in Songwriting from Boston Conservatory at Berklee. They made their professional debut as Goli in the Pulitzer Prize-winning play English at SpeakEasy Stage (New England Premiere). Most recently, they appeared as Anna (Wendla u/s) in Monumental Theatre Company’s production of Spring Awakening. Previous credits include The Prince and The Painter with Moonbox Productions and Lord of the Flies with Boston Conservatory. Lily has a passion for creating vibrant, unapologetic, and joyful art and for contributing to inclusive Middle Eastern and queer spaces.
