BIOGRAPHY
Caitlin Mesiano is a New York City-based actor who is rapidly gaining a reputation for her creative portrayals of a variety of characters on stage. As The Theatre Guide recently stated when reviewing Nunsense, “…the magnificent portrayal of Sister Mary Amnesia by Caitlin Mesiano who, at times, completely steals the show. She’s hilarious, plain and simple. Her facial expressions are incomparable; her timing, excellent. Oh, and just wait for the number “So You Want to be a Nun”, her vocal talent will blow you away.”
After Mesiano closed Titanic: The Musical at Bob Jones University and spent the summer performing with Saint Michael’s Playhouse in their productions of Godspell and I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change.
Last season, Caitlin appeared in Gateway Playhouse’s productions of Nunsense and Memphis, performed the role of Mother/Sweetie in the national tour of Noel the Musical and performed as a soloist in Christian De Gré’s Twisted Operettas concert at The Public Theater. No stranger to the habit, Mesiano made her regional theater rounds in three productions of Sister Act with North Shore Music Theatre, St. Michael’s Playhouse, and Theatre By The Sea. This versatile actress also performs leading lady repertoire including Amelia Earhart in the stage première of Final Approach: The Amelia Earhart Musical in the West Village Musical Theatre Festival, Jen in John and Jen at the Theater Barn, Natalie in All Shook Up, and Sarah Brown in Guys and Dolls with Interlakes Summer Theater.
