BIOGRAPHY
With nearly twenty years of professional experience in theater and opera, Jamibeth Margolis is a stage director and trained intimacy choreographer based in New York City with credits at prestigious theaters and opera companies around the US including New York City Opera, Lincoln Center, The Metropolitan Opera, and many more. Most recently, Jamibeth directed and cast the staged reading of John Riley’s A Girl I Know. Recent theatrical directing credits include National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene’s Broadway: A Jewish American Legacygala event, The Whole Megillah at 54 Below, The Count of Monte Cristo at the Bleecker Street Theatre, and a staged reading of Save the Palace with LDK Productions. She also directed a semi-staged concert production of The Music Man for Pacific Symphony. This season, Jamibeth is leading casting for Harmony on Broadway and the 2023-2024 season at the National Yiddish Theatre.
Other theatrical credits include Do I Hear a Waltz? and Jekyll and Hyde with Arvada Center Theater in Denver and As You Like Itwith Cortland Repertory Theatre. Ms. Margolis worked alongside Tony Award winner Jerry Zaks on the Broadway revival of The Caine Mutiny Court Martial and alongside Jules Feiffer in A Bad Friend with Lincoln Center Theatre. She also helmed developmental productions of new musical works including Owl Creek, Far from the Madding Crowd, Plane Crazy, Great Googley Moo, and Warsaw.
