A greasy spoon in the small city of Lynchburg, Virginia, is the setting for this raucous musical about class, race, and the mysterious alchemy of a 24-hour-eatery. Run by sharp-tongued matriarch Miss Betty and frequented by regulars like the kind hearted but totally incoherent Brooks, the Texas Inn, aka the “T-Room,” is mostly a local hangout. So, when two college professors, Maddy and Khent, roll up in their Tesla one night, they get more than just cheap dinner and some local flavor, thanks to Liza and Gunner, a pair of young troublemakers. With a live band embodying the Texas Inn, “T-Time” offers a messy yet beautiful argument for the importance of spaces that bring folk together from all backgrounds and walks of life.
